Are you suffering from puffy eyes? If you are there are many reasons why. In some people it is because they aren’t getting enough sleep, whilst in others it could be down to their age or their genes. But whatever the reason for you having eyes that look puffy and swollen there are things that you can do to help get rid of them. In this article we offer a few natural ways you may find useful when you want to get rid of puffy eyes in the future. Method 1 – Place some thin slices of cucumber over each eye when closed and leave in place for around 15 to 20 minutes.

There are properties within the cucumber that will help to reduce the swelling which is causing your eyes to look puffy. Method 2 – Take a teabag that has been used and wrap it in some tissue paper when it is cold and then apply to the eyes. The tannin in the tea is a natural astringent and will work at not only helping to reduce any puffiness around your eyes but also make the skin around them taut. Method 3 – If you want to get your eyes sparkling once more as well as helping to reduce any redness around them then bathe each eye in some cool mineral water 3 or 4 times a day. After bathing each eye allow the water to dry of the surface of your skin naturally. This will then allow the skin to absorb some of the water helping to provide it with moisture and also the coolness of the water will help to reduce any kind of inflammation around the eyes.

Method 4 – Another way to get rid of puffy eyes is to place a small round spoon that has been in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes over each eye. You only need to hold the round part of the spoon against the skin under your eye for a few minutes and you will soon notice a difference. As soon as you begin to feel the spoon is warming up you should then immediately place it back in the fridge before carrying out the same procedure on the other eye. Of course you could always put two spoons in the fridge at the same time rather than having to wait 10 or 15 minutes before the spoon is cool enough to use. Method 5 – The final method we suggest when you want to get rid of puffy eyes is to dip some cotton wall pads into rose water that has been cooled. Just as you would have done with the slices of cucumber or with the teabags place the cotton wool pads over closed eyes and allow them to remain in place for several minutes.

If you want to ensure that the pads don’t fall off then it is best to lie down whilst you use this method. Method 6 – Use a natural eye serum to reduce the appearance of puffiness, bags and dark circles. There are specially formulated eye serum that contains natural ingredients especially developed to treat damage skin around the eyes. Look for ingredients such as Eyeliss, Haloxyl and HomeoAge as these will treat the root cause of the problem and have your eyes looking younger and totally rejuvenated.
